 Purpose Statement

The purpose of Concord Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church is to worship the Lord our God and to work together through evangelizing the lost and discipling Christians so that in all things God might be glorified.

 Vision Statement

Our corporate worship is primarily directed toward pleasing God. We come together as the body of Christ to praise and glorify Him as directed in the Bible.

Every member of the Church is called by God to do the work of evangelism, thus glorifying God by fulfilling His command. The Church will seek to equip every member to do individual evangelism. And to increase productivity, the Church will sponsor corporate evangelistic efforts.

In order to glorify God, every member of the Church should be an active participant in the life and ministry of the Church through the many discipleship programs offered. We recognize the different levels of Christian maturity and seek to motivate every Christian to grow to a new level of spiritual maturity.

The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church is a conservative, evangelical family of believers who hold to great truths as revealed in Holy Scripture. The Church adheres to the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, which emphasize the following:

 We believe ...

GOD IS THE SOVEREIGN CREATOR and ruler of the universe.

JESUS CHRIST is the Son of God, the only Savior and Lord of man.

THE HOLY SPIRIT is the initiator and enabler for the Christian life.

THE BIBLE is the infallible Word of God, the only rule of faith and practice and without error in all that it teaches.

SALVATION is by God's grace, freely given through faith and not earned by any merit of man.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS are the summation of man's duty to God and of man's responsibility to his fellow man.

FAMILY WORSHIP AND TITHING are encouraged.

CHURCH GOVERNMENT is by the Presbyterian system, from which the denomination takes its name. Following the system outlined in the New Testament, elders and deacons are elected in a democratic manner to govern the church.

THE SACREMENT OF BAPTISM is administered to believers and their children. All forms of Christian baptism are recognized, and a second ceremony is not administered to members received from another denomination.

BELIEVERS MAY JOIN the ARP Church by profession of faith, reaffirmation of faith, or transfer of membership from another denomination.
